When my little niece Amy heard about my trip, she asked "After Uncle Eric goes to Taiwan will he go to Taitwo?"
My second week in Taiwan was busy with gospel meetings, studies and visits, mostly on the south end of the island. It was wonderful being with the friends in their homes, and in spite of language barriers, the warm spirit of love extended to me made me feel welcome and at home.
I loved the beauty of the country. The ocean is never far away, the green mountains, the endless fresh fruit, the heat! One interesting thing I experienced was driving through an eight mile long tunnel through one of the mountains. I took a picture for the blog.

On Saturday I took the bullet train back to Taipei, and had two more days there with Wayne and Chu Ren. I flew back to the states on Tuesday, left at 9:30 in the morning, flew for thirteen hours and arrived at 8:30 the morning of the same day. Must have been a mighty fast plane.
I've loved my trip. It's been an amazing experience and I feel indebted to all who showed me such love and kindness along the way. Above all, I feel my soul has been made richer by meeting my brothers and sisters in other parts of the world, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity of going to their lands and experiencing fellowship in Christ.
This is my last post of the trip. Thanks for following along on my travels, and I hope all is well with each of you!
